The workshop

At our 800 square foot workshop we prepare our bikes for their new owners. We work with people with backgrounds in offending, long term unemployment, exclusion from school and with special needs. We use the work on the bikes as the basis for teaching basic Engineering skills. This helps them move towards further training or employment in Engineering-related sectors.  The bikes are then stored at our workshop until we have enough to fill a shipping container, when they are sent off to our numerous projects in East Africa.

Bikes for Refugees and Asylum Seekers

In 2022 we also started supplying bikes to refugees and asylum seekers in  Somerset through local partner charities. This gives them free transportation to work and schools, helping them establish their new lives in the UK.
